The Mississippi Concrete Association (MCA) Board of Directors voted unanimously voted to support the RMC Research & Education Foundation with a $10,000.00 donation over the next four years. RMC Research & Education sponsored a study to the Mississippi State University’s Bagley College of Engineering published in March, 2006 titled “Coast in the Eye of the Storm- Hurricane Katrina: August 29, 2005” This study will be featured in MCA’s Exhibit and Presentation to AIA of Mississippi’s State Convention on the Mississippi Gulf Coast July 11-14, 2019. The theme of the AIA of Mississippi convention will be “Resiliency and Sustainability: Lessons Learned from Hurricane Katrina” It’s investments like the one MCA has made that will assure future relative studies will be conducted.
